Manchester Arena Attack : Shahjalal Mosque Manchester holds multi-faith vigil and prayer in solidarity with the victims family

Shahjalal Mosque Manchester has held a multi-faith vigil and prayer for the victims and their families on Friday (26th May) at 2 pm at the Mosque courtyard in Rusholme. Hundreds of people from different community attended the vigil to show solidarity towards the victims and to condemn the terror attack that happened on Monday in Manchester.
Mr Kabir Ahmed MBE DL, Mr Afzal Khan MEP, Mr Cllr Luthfur Rahman, Cllr Rabnawaz Akbar, Cllr Ahmad Ali JP, Cllr Jill Lovecy gave their statements at the vigil condemning the inhuman babaric terror attack on innocent civilians in our Beautiful peace loving city of Manchester. They said, "at these difficult times it is important that we come together to support each other as one community and defeat those who seek to divide us."
The vigil was chaired by Mohammed Ashik Miah and conducted by Imam Khairul Huda Khan.
They further said, "what we must understand that this attack is not only an attack on our social way of life, it's an attack on our community, our relationship with the loving and peaceful Manchester. Above all it is an attack on our Islamic peaceful way of life. This attack also undermined many years of hard work by people who are working on building trust and relationship with the non-Muslim community."
"We want to let the world know that not only we care about the community we live in but we will not sit silent when the name of Islam gets to tarnished."
