Shahjalal Mosque & Islamic Centre is delighted to announce the return of its Darul Qirat Course 2026, our annual intensive summer programme designed to help children develop a beautiful relationship with the Qur’an through correct recitation, Tajweed and Islamic learning.
Organised in affiliation with the Darul Qirat Majidiah Fultali Trust, one of the world’s most respected institutes for Qirat and Tajweed, this course has benefited hundreds of students over the years. Alhamdulillah, many of our graduates have successfully completed the full six-year programme and have gone on to qualify as Qaris, reciting the Qur’an with confidence and excellence.
The course is open to boys and girls aged 5 years and above, with segregated classes for girls, providing a comfortable and supportive learning environment for every student.
What Will Students Learn?
Throughout the course, students will receive structured lessons in:
- Correct recitation of the Qur’an with Tajweed.
- Rules and practical application of Tajweed.
- Beautiful Qirat and pronunciation.
- Memorisation of selected Surahs and daily Du’as.
- Basic rulings of Wudhu and Salah.
- Essential Islamic manners and character.
- Inspiring Islamic stories and practical lessons.
By successfully progressing through the complete six-year Darul Qirat programme, students will graduate as Qualified Qaris and receive official certification from the Darul Qirat Majidiah Fultali Trust.

Khamis & Sadis (Class 5 & 6) Exam :
Saturday 15th August 2026, at DHLNW, Oldham, OL8 1TJ
Award Ceremony : Monday 31st August 2026, at 11:30 am
Certificates and Medals will be given to all participants
Trophies Special prizes will be given to outstanding students

Our Darul Qirat Course offers much more than classroom learning. We aim to make the summer holidays enjoyable and productive by combining quality Islamic education with a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.

Our annual Award Ceremony is always a memorable occasion, celebrating the hard work and achievements of every student alongside their families and the wider community.
We will provide snacks for the kids along with some sports activities. Certificates, Medals, and Trophies will be awarded to the successful students on the award Ceremony on Monday 31st August 2026.
